The library saved my life as a kid. So when the Toronto Public Library asked me to speak, I said YES to every location. Admission is free. You are all invited.
My library talk is based on my TEDx Talk — which I’ve never shared because I had a wicked flu and could barely stand and you can’t hear the audience laugh. Cries. Anyways, I’m healthy now and my current talk is the unsickly version of Unconventional Ways to Save Money.
Unconventional Ways to Save Money
Consumer expert Kerry Taylor, shares how she convinced millions of people to embrace a life of thrift by reflecting on our disposable lifestyle, impulsive spending habits, and by challenging conventional views on accumulating wealth. Moving from the city to a rural organic farm changed her perspective on money, and she explains why saving is about more than balancing a budget.
Kerry Taylor is also a Globe and Mail personal finance writer, a contributor on CBC’s On The Money, and Canada’s top money blogger. Her website Squawkfox.com was voted Canada’s best money blog by Globe and Mail readers.
Presented as part of Toronto Public Library’s Personal Finance program series.
Free program. For more information, check out the locations, times and dates.
Hope to see you there!
