Another CRTC Response to Telus Fee Complaint

Wow. Looks like the CRTC is busy with the number of complaints regarding Telus Corp’s new Long Distance Access Fee. The CRTC sent me a nice response yesterday. Here’s their response today:

Further to my earlier message to you, I am writing to provide you with more information concerning the long distance administration fee implemented by TELUS.

In response to applications received from Yak Communications (Canada) Corp., the CRTC is currently reviewing the long distance administration fee and has initiated a public proceeding which may be of interest to you. To participate in this public proceeding, you may provide your comments on-line through the following link:,
– Under Types: select Part VII / PN
– In the Subject line, type the file number 8661-C12-200716699.

If you prefer to fax or mail your submission, please ensure that file number 8661-C12-200716699 is clearly indicated in the subject line of your submission.
– By fax at 819-994-0218, or
– By mail to CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N2.

** The deadline is January 18th, 2008. **

    I despise Telus. My texting feature is screwed. my inbox is empty and it tells me it is full and won’t let me send or recieve. My phone is 8 months old it was over $200. Telus pretty much gave me the finger. I asked for a new phone and they said ” ohhh out of 10000 phones made some are duds. guess you got a dud” … they tried to fix it but it didn’t work. the guy at the store told me ” we can sell you the same phone for $99 its on sale”. lol. I am on pay as u go.. maybe thats why they don’t care. But whatever happened to customer service? Do people not care about peoples business anymore. I pondered switching to their monthly plan but decided against it. I am going back to Rogers. If i am going to get screwed it will be by a company that atleast gives me a working phone

    Screw you Telus. You suck and i am letting everyone know.
