Hi – We’ve gone in opposite directions. I grew up on a farm and now live in the city. I miss farm life. I have memories of watching the horses getting excited about being fed.

It was especially fun during the really cold months when the horses spent more time in the stable than they’d like to. On a really sunny day, mom would let them out. I was fun to watch them charging around, kicking up their heels. Thanks for taking me back with this post.

I’m not enjoying the cold just now. Snow is nice, skating is fun, frost is pretty. But the cold part, I could do without!

Whoa, Fox, your scenic photo almost makes winter look like something to wish for! But then, Emily@remodelingthislife has a point: anything’s got to be better than the in-between slushy stuff – yes? (But don’t bother reminding me of saying that when we get into January-February, and the thrill of living in a frickin Winter Wonderland is starting to wear really thin!)

I often appreciate the winter chores. I need something to get me outside enjoying the weather. I’m lazy about getting out, but I always really enjoy it when I’m out there.

I’m also so lazy about my running in the summer, but some this slushy cold weather I love nothing more than lacing up my sneakers and heading out for a few miles.

Beautiful photo – but it doesn’t seem that long ago that you were posting a photo of that road with the pesky garden robbing deer on it

I sold my dairy farm about 7 years ago, and have to say, I don’t miss farming in the winter months at all But I definitely do in the spring and summer! But wait – that’s soon to change – my son bought a dairy farm and he remembers that Mamma knows how to drive tractor!! haha! My days will be again busy on a tractor come spring! But he HAS agreed to fence off room for a fruit orchard for his Mamma also! I told him my grandkids need fruit trees – so that’s going to happen – Hooray!!!
