It’s Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Happy turkey weekend to my fellow Canucks! I’ve been busy on the family farm picking apples. Lots of apples, including: Spartan, Red Delicious, and three other varieties which will remain a mystery to us all. To be honest, I am exhausted. After picking endless amounts of pommes, I then clean, slice, and dice the fruits for preserving. My “Better Half” and I are pretty happy with our food dehydrator. The apple chips are to die for. I’ve also done some baking.

Tomatoes: The tomatoes are toast. We had three mornings of frost this week, and well, the tomatoes are well past their prime. This happens to the best of us. :) I’ve been feeling pretty good these days. So here are some articles from my RSS Reader:

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians and Canucks. Don’t let the turkey tryptophan knock you sleepy ’cause we’ve got an election to decide this Tuesday!

Have you ever made green tomato pickles? That’s what I used to do with all the green tomatoes left on the vine. I’ll put the recipe up on my website (http://frugalwench.com) and you can keep it for next year.

@Frugal Wench That would be awesome. We picked the green tomatoes “just to see” if they would ripen…but I love the idea of pickling them. Thank you. :D
