@tzuzan I LOVE granola and often make my own. Here's my recipe for Homemade Healthy Granola! Great suggestion to top with yogurt and fruit. :D

I just found this site and love it!! So much good info and it's all stuff I hunt online for anyways! Here's another suggestion, granola with yogurt and topped with whatever fruit is in season. You can make the granola at home (which I like to do as I have so many food sensitivities) or go to the bulk store and buy it cheap :)

@Gloria I love Greek yogurt too! I've been eating lots of it these days with berries, nuts, and my homemade granola (which contains dates, honey, and apples). :D Happy snacking!

Dear Fox, All of the above have been some of my favorite snacks for years now. I haven't eaten the cottage cheese in a while but now I'm hungry for it. I've recently been eating Greek yogurt.....yum. The Greek yogurt with honey is wonderful. The dates of choice are Majool. The hummus with crisp red, yellow and green peppers...out of this world! I feel a snack attack coming on....

Two more recommendations: 1. Avocado with salsa, and 2. celery with salsa.

Way better than chips, and the avocado is much more filling. I mean, sure, a whole avocado has a lot of calories, but it's so good for you, otherwise.

The celery and salsa probably has like, 10 calories.

Get a good salsa, though. Don't waste your time with store-brand slop.

I really enjoy goat yogurt here in Spain, it is so thick it reminds me of sour creme which I love. At home, I used to get goat yogurt at Trader Joe's. It is MUCH better for you than cows milk. We find that the goat milk here tastes better than the cows milk, but we use the kind in boxes that does not have to be refrigerated until opened. Organic ( biological they call it here) is harder to find in Europe, but we hunt it down. Like home, some places are better in supply than others & we were spoiled in Santa Cruz with endless supply.

Love your photos too!
