I'm switching back to quicktax. I got audited by the government and found I owe them money. I went over my return over the phone with them and found that while I had entered all of the forms, ufile couldn't add them up. My taxable income was off and therefore my taxes owing. I them sent a note to ufile and other than the automatic we'll get back to you, I haven't heard a thing. I guess that would be customer service.

I have to admit, my experience with Ufile support has left me nicely surprised. I ran my 2006 return and came up with a slight (<20$) refund. I didn't bother filing and only filed for my wife and my mother. Rev Can asked me last week to file for 2006.

Since running my original return in UFile, my hard drive deep sixed and I now have a new machine (although I have the original .u06 UFile tax return). I have the orginal UFile disk but lost the activation key on the disk sleeve, so Icouldn't reactivate the software.

I wrote to UFile to see if I could activate the software and surprise! Immediate response the next day and not the usual "you are toast, tough luck" response. Some sensible questions to verify I actually bought the software and boom, here is your activation key.

I retrieved my return and sent it off to the feds.

How nice to see personal service and a real human at the other end of the email link.

Now if I could get this sort of service from some corporate clients....

Thanks Karen I corrected the entry! I must have been blinded by the sheer numbers of UFile's returns!
